PBCC Pharmacy LLC is a specialty pharmacy based in Springfield, Illinois which services the Hemophilia community as well as others with blood disorders.

Our goal at PBCC Pharmacy LLC is to provide our patients with the best personalized care possible. We offer education, regular follow-up and refill reminder calls, and can package your medications according to your own personal preferences. Not only will we provide the medications you need, but we also provide the supplies that are needed to administer your medications and help keep you healthy.

Financial Assistance

Specialty medications can be costly and finding a way to afford them can be challenging. We strive to obtain in-network contracts with the insurance companies of our patients to help minimize your costs. We will always make sure you are aware of any costs before medications are sent. If you are unable to afford your medications, we are here to help explore available cost saving options and even help in the application process if needed.

Communication with your Providers

We understand the importance of a team approach to have positive results in healthcare. Not only do we communicate with our patients, but our staff is more than happy to get in touch with your other healthcare providers or social workers to assist with medication refills, get medication prior authorizations, or any other obstacle that may stand in the way of your treatment plan.

24/7 Support

At PBCC Pharmacy LLC, we know that things can happen outside of normal business hours. That is why we offer support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through the use of an after-hours answering service that will get you in touch with the staff or help you need!

Shipping and Delivery

We know it is important to have your medication when you need it, so we work hard to get medications out to patients as soon as possible. We offer personal delivery by one of our staff to our local patients or convenient overnight shipping for next day delivery to your location of choice.

  • We are a specialty pharmacy which works closely with patients who have bleeding disorders such as hemophilia or Von Willebrand Disease to ensure that they receive their life saving clotting factor medications and supplies efficiently and conveniently.

  • Whether you wish to fill a prescription for the first time or refill an existing prescription, simply contact our pharmacy in one of the following ways:

    • A pharmacy representative will assist you with your refill(s) and/or by contacting your physician to obtain a new prescription if necessary.
    • If possible, we recommend contacting PBCC Pharmacy for a refill when you are down to 7 days left of your medication. That will give us the time to be able to serve you with no interruption in your supplies.
    • To ensure we provide the best care possible and to help you get the most from your treatment plan, please be prepared to answer the following questions when filling a prescription:
      • Have there been any changes to your medications or health since the prior prescription?
        Example: New allergies, medicines, diagnoses, weight
      • How many doses of your medication do you have left?
      • How do you feel your medication is working for you?
        Example: Have you been having breakthrough bleeding episodes?
      • What supplies do you need with your shipment of medication?
        Example: Needles, gauze, gloves (sterile and non-sterile)

  • Yes, just simply call us and we will do the rest! Please simply provide us with the name and phone number of your previous pharmacy and the name of the medication you would like transferred to us.

  • PBCC Pharmacy LLC provides FREE SHIPPING to any Illinois location! If you live close to our location, we may actually be able to deliver your medications to you ourselves. Overnight shipping is available Monday thru Thursday. A delivery date will be arranged in advanced to make sure it works best for you. All packages require an adult signature upon delivery.

  • A member of our pharmacy will always call to speak with you to explain any costs associated with your medication before a shipment is ever sent to you. The cost to you for your medication cost depends on your insurance plan. Our pharmacy staff will work closely with your insurance company and with your doctor’s office to make sure you are receiving the best insurance coverage possible.

  • There are various organizations and manufacturers who provide financial assistance to patients. Our Social Worker and/or other members of our team will be happy to work with you to try our best to help you to qualify for any type and all type of assistance possible. We can even help you fill out and submit the needed applications if needed.

  • Although we strive to be in network with as many insurance carriers as possible, there may still be some circumstances where we are not in-network with certain insurance companies. We are happy to do everything possible to obtain contracts with any insurance carrier at the request of our patients.
    If you choose to fill your medicines with our pharmacy out of network, we will always make you aware up front of your costs before any medication is dispensed to you. We understand how important your medication is and we will do everything possible to help your medications to be as affordable for you as possible.

  • A PBCC Pharmacy pharmacist is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to speak with you to help you with any questions or concerns you may have about your medications. This service is a FREE SERVICE that we provide for our patients! Please feel free to call our pharmacy phone at 217-679-5446. A pharmacist is physically available in office during the regular business hours of Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm; however, you can also reach our pharmacist after hours via our after hours phone service.
